The Citizens Bank of West Virginia Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program will provide $500,000 in scholarship awards, including a full ride scholarship for four years of tuition, room, and board to Davis & Elkins College! Scholarships are awarded to students who exemplify leadership and have a clear idea of how they would use the scholarship opportunity to pay it forward to their home state of West Virginia.
This scholarship is made possible through a partnership between Citizens Bank of West Virginia, Davis & Elkins College and WDTV.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Applications accepted through November 16, 2025.
Applicants will be required to submit an essay of between 500 and 1,500 words based on the topic, “If you receive this scholarship, how will you pay it forward to the state of West Virginia?”
Scholarship applications will be evaluated and the scholarship finalists will be chosen by an independent Scholarship Selection Committee established by Citizens Bank of West Virginia and Davis & Elkins College. Top Candidates will be interviewed. Scholarship Winners will be announced in December.
Scholarship finalists must be admitted to D&E prior to being selected for an interview.
